25-year-old was recognised for his leadership and commitment to the family-run remanufacturing business at the annual industry ceremony in Manchester

Harnek Bhogal of Autoelectro has been named the automotive aftermarket’s Rising Star at the 2026 CAT Awards. Held at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester, the ceremony recognises emerging talent and leadership within the sector.

At 25, Harnek leads sales and marketing for the Bradford-based firm, while also shaping company strategy. Having worked in the family business since his school years—performing roles ranging from order picking to stock photography—he now manages key customer relationships alongside his father, Director Paul Bhogal.

Upon receiving the accolade, Harnek stated:

“It was a surprise to be nominated – but an even bigger surprise to win! This recognition isn’t about me; it reflects the team at Autoelectro and the amazing work they do behind the scenes – from our remanufacturing specialists to our sales team supporting customers every day.”

CAT News Editor, Will Rimell, highlighted the panel’s decision to honour Bhogal’s professional impact, stating:

“Harnek was such a deserving winner of the Rising Star award. He is someone who, even at such a young age, already holds much responsibility at Autoelectro, which speaks volumes.”

The award coincides with the start of Autoelectro’s 40th anniversary celebrations. The company continues to focus on its reputation as an independent remanufacturer of starter motors and alternators.
