As renowned market leaders of new to range part number development for Starter Motors and Alternators, we are delighted to announce a significant further investment in test equipment with the arrival of a new test bench from Motoplat CV, one of Europe's leading manufacturers and suppliers of Starter Motor and Alternator test benches.

This new bench ensures that Autoelectro have the best equipped research and test facility in the UK for Starter Motors and Alternators. Not only does this enable us to increase their extensive range and introduce later technology units to market quicker, but we also lead the market for Starter Motors and Alternator technical support either via our website or by calling our technical team. This new test bench will enable us to further support their customers and the installer with better technical understanding of the latest units.

With recent range additions for Peugeot / Citroen eHDI, Nissan Qashqai, BMW 320e and Peugeot 5008 HYbrid4 all of which use a reversable Alternator to start the engine on stop start plus the latter runs a 415v mild hybrid output, the technology that we are seeing from the vehicle manufacturer is rapidly advancing. With more than 33 years, experience and continuous reinvestment in test equipment, range development and stock, we are committed to this type of capital investment to maintain their recognised market leading position for range coverage and range additions.

Motoplat CV have a long history in test equipment and today supply test benches to original equipment vehicle manufacturers for end of line testing so are proven as experts in their field. Motoplat have consulted with Autoelectro to understand the technical challenges the market faces in this product sector and as a result Autoelectro are taking ownership of one of the first three benches released worldwide, bespoke to their specification.

Our UK Sales Manager, Nick Hood said: “This new test bench will enable Autoelectro to further support their customers and the installer with better technical understanding of complex new technology including Belted Starter Generator (BSG) type Rotating Electrics that act as a combined Alternator and Starter motor and also 48V technology.”
